Born in Trinidad & Tobago, moved to Manitoba as an International Student in 1982, then become a permanent Canadian resident in 1989.
Completed Grades 11 and 12 at The Collegiate, University of Winnipeg, followed by a Bachelor of Computer Science Science (Major) at the University of Manitoba. Was one of the first graduates of the Red River College Project Management Certificate program, and also obtained designation as a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute (PMI). Currently employed with a global Information Technology company, specializing in Automation and Security Compliance for large enterprises.
Volunteer experience includes
- Member of the site security team for The Winnipeg Folk Festival
- Student Advisor for grades 9-12 through Junior Achievement (to initiate, design, build, manage, operate, and close an actual business registered in Manitoba)
- Baseball Coach at the Southdale Community Centre for children 6-7 years old (having acquired elementary Baseball skills training certificate)
- Convener for the Southdale Community Centre (planned, organized, and scheduled community Soccer games for approximately children aged 4 and 5 years old)
- Delivery person for Meals on Wheels, to about 30 Seniors once biweekly
- Executive member of two non profit organizations, developing strategic goals and objectives, planning, organizing, and scheduling events, and managing revenue and expenses.

Born in Trinidad and Tobago, a first generation immigrant, arriving in Winnipeg with his parents, 2 sisters and brother in 1977.
Pursued higher education by attaining a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Manitoba, Commercial Lending certificate from Dalhousie University and Participative Management certificate from Asper School of Business. What began as employment opportunities in Retail Finance with a chartered bank in 1986 has evolved over the years to a career in Social Finance shaped by credit unions in the Eastern Caribbean and Canada. As Director of Assiniboine Credit Union's Community Financial Centre, he leads a team dedicated to providing customized financing benefiting non-profits, cooperatives and social enterprises.
Always striving to maintain a balance with family, career and community, he served on the Board of the Immigrant Centre of Manitoba which has a mandate to provide settlement services for newcomers to the Province. Hobbies include fishing, sports and music all of which he enjoys with his wife and 2 daughters.

Born in Trinidad & Tobago, a first generation immigrant. I came to Canada to study Accounting, met my wife, and Canada became my home. I did my Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science at UWI. I am a qualified Certified Management Accountant (CMA), now called CPA.
I completed the courses towards my Master of Science degree in Actuarial Mathematics at University of Manitoba, got hired by GWL and later worked for 4 other insurance companies across the country. I am now a qualified Actuary with the following professional degrees - Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA). I have worked in the insurance industry for approximately 25 years.
As an Actuary, I have served on a few Canadian Life and Health Insurance Associations (CLHIA) committees plus Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) committees. I was also a member of the board of directors with the Teacher's Club of Regina, SK.
I am currently self-employed with my own business - Ascenda Financial Consultants - where I am a financial consultant working to help people financially secure their future. In this capacity, I am involved in insurance (individual and group employee benefits), investments, retirement, tax & estate planning.
My hobbies include soccer, cricket, reading, meeting new people. I have a daughter, 4 sons and a grandchild.

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, I am a first generation Canadian born to my father, who was born in Trinidad and Tobago and immigrated to Ottawa in 1982. I pursued my Bachelor of Commerce Honors majors in Finance and International Business at the University of Manitoba, followed by numerous Investment and Insurance licensing qualifications. I am currently completing the necessary qualification to become a CFA charterholder.
While studying I gained multiple years of programs management and financial analysis experience with Agriculture and Agri-Foods Canada, and performed as a course instructor for the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Arts. I continued to add to my financial services experience with two years as an analyst in Commercial Banking. In 2013 I switched to my current role running a wealth management practice for RBC Dominion Securities. In this capacity I help individuals, businesses, and institutions with financial planning, investment strategy, and tax minimzation needs of all types to improve efficiency, security, and predictability in their financial situations.
My hobbies include soccer, working out, playing guitar, producing music, and of course, playing mas.
